WAS THE REGENERATING POWER that caused a vile, persecuting Saul to tremble, contained in the written word? No, never, he heard a voice from heaven. Regeneration is designed to produce a new heart and renew a right spirit: to enlighten the soul: change the will and affections, and enable the sinner to understand and receive the truth.
